Årets Arrangör

Selam was awarded ”Promoter of the Year” at the just newly started Folk & Worldmusic Awards in Stockholm, on Friday 23 of April at Nybrokajen 11.

The motivation for the award was the following:
”Promoter of the year: Selam
To settle down isn’t exactly the style for this organization. They broaden horizons, expand their activities, mix things up and give. The promoter of the year keeps on opening doors, eyes and ears, at home and out there in the wide world.”



The media has also noticed the award, Svenska Dagbladet wrote:

”…given Selam’s expansive year 2009, where they brought artists like Salif Keita, Oumou Sangaré and Khaled, and started a music festival in Ethiopia, this is a totally logical choice” Lars Lovén, SVD
